District Project Management Teams

 District Project Management Unit (DPMT) is a program management unit based at the district level, working in close coordination with the District Nodal Officer (ADM&HO) HIV/AIDS programs to ensure better project management. The team consists of a District Project manager and an M&E officer.

The main purpose of these units is to ensure better implementation of different projects by providing necessary supports from GOs and NGOs.

There are three DPMTs under HIV division two of which are supported by KHPT-UoM-USAID and one district is supported by HIV Division. The Districts covered by the DPMTs are Guntur, Krishna and Prakasam. The DPMTs have one District Project Manager (DPM), one M&E officer and one accountant. The DPMTs started functioning from January 2007 onwards.

The major responsibility of the team is to coordinate and liaise with the District Administration – District Collector, Addl. DM&HO and DTCO for effective implementation of the Project and ensure proper functioning of the Program at the UPHC/PHC level. The team also establishes network/linkages with CBO/NGOs. It provides CMIS reports to APSACS, Addl.DM & HO, on Project Progress. Provide technical support for conduct of camps for ante-natal mothers and for proper planning and management of outreach programs. Identify bottlenecks, if any, and resolve wherever possible, will keep the administration including PD, APSACS involved in unresolved problems and seek guidance for addressing them. Facilitate the availability of HIV testing kits, consumables, reagents and IEC material in all ICTCs in coordination and communication with district administration, APSACS and its partners.
