Counseling support is offered and follow up programmes and interventions are carried out to create a friendly environment
Patients and families were provided with psychological support during their stay in the Centre. When a patient recovers from his/her HIV associated disease he is sent back in the community. The out-reach workers sensitise communities on how to deal with the family member who is HIV infected and how the HIV patient shall deal with the disease. Family members of the patients are also trained to provide care at home to the infected members and to prevent further infection. |
