Operational area of APCP

 
Under Andhra Pradesh Counsellors Project 207 VCCTCs and 105 PPTCTCs were included according to the data available up to February 2006. At present A.P. Government State AIDS Control Society (APSACS) has decided to increase the number of VCCTC /PPTCT centers (now called ICTCs) to more than 900 centers. An order has been issued recently by the Government to establish further 263 ICTC in A.P.
 
Presently 407 counselors are placed in these centres as on 1 st November 2006.
 
 

LEPRA Society provides technical and programmatic support to all Integrated Counselling and Testing Centers (ICTCs) and Prevention of Parent-to-Child Transmission Centre (PPTCTs) in Andhra Pradesh. The support provided includes recruitment of counsellors, organising capacity-building programmes for the counsellors, regular field monitoring and reviewing of the project activities and managing the various issues related to service delivery (counseling services) and facilitation of timely submission of reports.
